Adventure Mountains

Adventure Hiking Trails

The Adventure Mountains (Abenteuerberge) were developed by the famous Austrian children’s book author Thomas Brezina and turn family hikes into exciting experiences. Three lovingly designed themed trails uniquely combine nature, activity and storytelling – with interactive stations, puzzles, games and plenty of fun.

On the Pirates’ Trail (Piratenweg), Witches’ Trail (Hexenweg) and Explorers’ Trail (Forscherpfad), mysterious stories, tricky tasks and creative play stations are waiting for little adventurers like you. This way, every hike becomes an adventure – and along the way, your children playfully learn about the nature of the Tyrolean Alps. Thomas Brezina has come up with a colourful adventure pad for all detectives! Grab one at the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis information offices or at the cable car office and start solving the puzzles!

The Witch's Trail in Fiss is filled with tricky riddles and challenges, which can be solved with skill and resourcefulness, and features fairy-tale scenes. Enjoy and let your children be amazed! The young witch Peppina and her brother Fips urgently need help! There has been an explosion on the Hexenweg Trail. The two young magicians have blown up the witch‘s house. Numerous objects have been whirled through the air and scattered along the trail. The children will see mysterious doors and stools and mirrors hanging from the trees; even a tree transforms into a mystical figure.

Starting point is the middle station of Schönjochbahn in Fiss. The entrance is a few meters beneath the middle station. The entrance for the second part of the Witches' Trail is straight at the Kuhalm.

Have lot of fun and hope you can solve the puzzle of Peppina and her brother Fips.

On a stormy night, a ghost ship has been sighted. On board: Captain Pepper and the sailor Chilli. To make matters worse, the ship and all aboard have been cursed and will not find peace until their treasure brings joy to many people! Everything is now up to the master detectives. They must find the treasure. However, where on earth is the treasure chest hidden, and what is the treasure that must be found? But the treasure is not just silver and gold coins...

A discovery walk of the special kind, which leads around the Alpkopf (near the Komperdell middle station). Enjoy the hunt for the treasure of Captain Pepper and his Sailor Chili and wish you a lot of fun.

Oops! The hikers suddenly feel as if they‘ve been shrunk and see everything from an ant-sized perspective! What on earth has happened? All we know is that a mysterious tree house has been discovered in the middle of the forest in Ladis, as well as gigantic animals and plants. On the way to the treehouse, the children must interpret the signs in order to answer the many questions and pass the adventure test.

The Explorer's Trail winds its way past small streams, over footbridges and wooden trails, where they meet giant snails, view the world from the eyes of an ant, interpret animal tracks and touch animal hides. Children must even interpret animal droppings in order to find their way, step by step, to the Explorer's House...
