Schöngampalm
The Schöngampalm is a small, rustic and cozy Alpine pasture chalet on the north side of Fiss. The pasture located near the valley terminal of the Almbahn on North Side in Fiss.
The Schöngampalm scores with Tyrolean specialties and friendly service. In summer, the pasture is a unique destination for hikers and bikers in the middle of idyllic forest. Children will enjoy the playground and petting zoo with many animals.
To get back to Fiss conveniently bikes can be rented directly at the Schöngampalm. In July and August (high season), we recommend reserving the bikes already in the morning at Sport Schmid at the Valley Station in Fiss.
Möseralm
A petting zoo awaits you directly at Möseralm next to the Summer Fun Park Fiss. It is loved by young and old alike. A variety of different animal including guinea pigs and rabbits reside here and want to be petted.
Schalberalm
Schalberalm, almost 2,000 m above sea level at Komperdell in Serfaus, has everything mountain-lovers are looking for. Here on the terrace, surrounded by the majestic mountains, you will find an oasis of tranquillity for relaxation. A particular highlight for the kids is the petting zoo. You might even catch a glimpse of a marmot here.

Wildlife Enclosures
During a walk through the forest, it is rare to catch a glimpse of wild animals. The wildlife enclosures in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis are therefore a truly special place to visit. Here, you have the opportunity to experience a hidden and often shy world up close. With their heads held high, the majestic stags proudly display their antlers, while the female red deer are naturally more timid. In the enclosures, which are designed to closely resemble the animals’ natural habitat, visitors can observe native wildlife from close by. Around 20 animals live in the red deer enclosure at Frommes Alp, including several stags, hinds, and calves. The restaurant terrace offers a wonderful view of the animals.
Birds of Prey Centre
Birds of prey and owls play an important role in our native ecosystem. However, these magnificent animals are repeatedly injured during their flights through the skies. The Birds of Prey Centre cares for injured birds, most of which have suffered nothing more than a bruise or concussion. The centre also takes in young birds that have fallen from their nests and are no longer being fed by their parents. After three to four weeks, the rehabilitated birds are released back into the wild. The centre also breeds several species, including Eurasian eagle-owls and barn owls, which are later released into the wild. In addition, birds of prey bred at the centre are used for falconry and the traditional art of hunting with birds of prey. Around 20 birds can be seen in the enclosures, including a golden eagle, saker falcon, common kestrel, Eurasian eagle-owl, barn owl, Ural owl, and several others. At the Birds of Prey Centre, visitors can learn fascinating facts about these endangered animals.
The centre is open during the summer months from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
Marmot Path
Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is a typical region for marmots. Learn more about their dens and how they live. You will see how the young marmots scurry and climb like little balls of wool and observe the sole guardian keep watch and sound his warning sound.
- Route: From the mountain station of the Lazid gondola via the wide path to the Scheid. The signpost leads you over high-level trail number 25 at the foot of Furgler mountain to Lake Furglersee and over the long-distance trail number 702 to the Komperdellbahn middle station.
- Hiking time: for the entire route is approximately 3 hours.
- Gear: We recommend good hiking gear.
Marmot Enclosure
A one-of-a-kind whistling concert
Right next to the Murmliwasser water park in Serfaus at the Komperdell middle station, there is a large outdoor preserve that offer a home to several marmots. This one-of-a-kind whistling concert is something you don't want to miss!
Adults as well as children can take a riding lesson and experience a fun excursion in the mountains of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis on the back of a horse. From riding lessons for beginners and advanced riders, longe lessons, guided rides out and little treks in the wonderful countryside as well as horse jumping instruction and to one-to-one lessons. Also beginners lessons for children aged under 6 years are offered as well.
